Summary of toxicity research
Research location: Republican Unitary Enterprise «Scientific and Practical Center of Hygiene» / Minsk / Republic of Belarus (M.V. Anisovich, E.S. Yurkevich)
Aim of the study: To investigate the toxicological properties and safety of Nanoplant.
Objects of the research: microfertilizer “Nanoplant” of various brands based on biopolymer-stabilized colloidal solutions of nanoparticles of microelements (Co, Mn, Cu, Fe, Zn, Cr, Se, Mo, Ag in various combinations and concentrations).
Developer: Institute of Physical Organic Chemistry of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus / Minsk / Republic of Belarus (S.G. Azizbekyan)
Performed research:
Plant seed phytotoxicity – phytotoxicity not determined.
Acute Toxicity – no symptoms of intoxication
No cumulative properties – no symptoms of intoxication.
Immunotoxicity and susceptibility to epithelial tissue (skin) – no irritant effect.
DL50 (single-celled Tetrahymena pyriformis) – parameters of membrane toxicity, population growth models, growth rate, time and number of generations, population size, adaptogenicity. DL50 (after 3 and 24 hour exposure) was found to be greater than 1000 mg / ml. Tetrahymena pyriformis has not been shown to be toxic in the course of the study.
Ecotoxicity to the aquatic environment – no evidence of toxicity and genotoxicity.
Reproductive toxicity – no evidence of poisoning.
Conclusion: In accordance with Regulation (EC) No. The extended toxicological test for CLP 1272/2008 (CLP Regulation) found that all types of micro-nutrient fertilizers “Nanoplant” are non-toxic, non-ecotoxic and phytotoxic, do not cause long-term effects (mutagenicity, genotoxicity, reproductive effects).
